Tatter Netowrk Foundation had begun with the users who wanted to participate development of GPL-ized Tattertools and related works, at April 14, 2006.
Needlworks
Needlworks is the executive task-force group in TNF which had been planned from 2007 January, and started working at April 14, 2007. Needlworks developes Textcube which is distributed with GPL and a part of Project Tattertools, and does diverse activities related to it. We will also organize various projects for 'data independency'.
The Origination
- Needleworks means working with needles and threads. The most names of projects and teams related to Project Tattertools are based on 'Tatter'.
- need | works. The '|' in the middle means pipelines in UNIX-like operating systems, which transfer the output of the left command to the input of the right command.
- It also complies the message that 'you' ('needl' in Korean) should have done these, to the companies which monopolize information too much ignoring the rights of creators.
